General surgery job in Mississippi

• 49 bed not for profit county owned hospital


• Joining one established general surgeon


• Salary of $400,000 plus WRVU incentives


• Bread and butter general surgery and some trauma. Hospital does 60-80 cases per month. 


• Expect to see around 20 patients per day when in the clinic


• Cerner EMR


• Visa sponsorship available for J1 or H1B visa holders


• Full benefits including paid malpractice, health and dental insurance.  20 days of vacation per year


• Student loan incentives available


• Negotiable signing bonus and hospital pays $10,000 for relocation costs


• Call is 1 in 2 but is very low volume


• Located just over two hours to New Orleans, LA and 2.5 hours to Birmingham, AL.  35 miles from Laurel, MS.
