Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to evaluate symptoms and medical history
Diagnose medical conditions and address patient inquiries and concerns
Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on recommended courses of action
Order and interpret clinical tests and coordinate additional diagnostic procedures as needed
Administer in-office or in-home treatments when appropriate
Prescribe medications and ensure patients understand proper usage and dosage
Maintain accurate electronic medical records
Provide leadership and guidance to medical staff, including nurses, physician assistants, and medical technicians
Some on-call rotations to address acute patient needs during evenings and weekends, otherwise Monday - Friday

Skills

Requirement & Qualifications:

Appropriate education and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Valid state license (NY, TX or WA) to practice, any additional certifications such as MHA, MPH, or DNP is an advantage
Minimum of 5 years of experience in private practice required
Proficiency in EMR charting and other computer-based tools
Strong communication skills, particularly in delivering sensitive information
Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and solve complex problems
Compassionate demeanor, exceptional bedside manner, and meticulous attention to detail
Candidates with experience in quarterly lab reviews and coordination with other physicians in the practice will be highly regarded.
