Thoracic Surgeon – High-Volume Surgical Opportunity in a Tertiary Care Setting Shape Your Ideal Surgical Practice | Hospital-Employed RoleA leading tertiary and quaternary care center in the Southeast is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join a high-functioning, collaborative surgical team. This is a rare opportunity to step into an established, high-volume practice due to a planned retirement of a long-tenured and highly respected surgeon. Position Highlights Surgical Focus: High volume of thoracic cases with full access to OR time and da Vinci robotic systems 90%+ Robotic Cases: Fully robotic program with experienced staff and infrastructure Dedicated Team: Supported by advanced practice providers and surgical fellows Clinic Time: Just 1 day per week on average, with schedule customized to your preferences Minimal Call Burden: Primarily focused on your patient panel, with light weekend rotation Integrated Care: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pulmonology, radiology, oncology, and cardiac surgery Diagnostic Excellence: Strong support from a systemwide lung nodule program and high-level radiology resources Tumor Board Participation: Engaged, interdisciplinary case review processes Practice Customization Prefer to be in the OR most of the time?
