Overview:
A TJC-accredited mental health facility is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide long-term medical care for adult patients. This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful physician-patient relationships in a slower-paced setting — not a typical hospitalist role.

Assignment Structure:

Initial Contract: 1099 independent contractor, 3–6 months.

Potential Transition: Eligible for full-time W2 employment after the contract period.

Position Highlights:

Manage a low patient load — oversee 60–80 long-term patients, typically seeing <10 per day.

Work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team (PCPs, NPs, psychiatrists, treatment specialists).

Focus on primary care and health maintenance for a diverse population.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive 1099 contract pay during initial term.

Upon conversion to W2, physicians are eligible for:

Licensing & Requirements:

MD or DO degree, completion of accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Must be licensed to practice independently (no collaborator required).

Skills

Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Experience in primary care, outpatient, or hospital medicine preferred.

Comfort managing a diverse patient population with chronic conditions.

Open to new graduates who have completed training.
