This Gastroenterology Locum Tenens position is located in VirginiaLocation: Central Virginia (Inquire for specific location)
Duration: January 12, 2026 – Ongoing (6-12 month locums)
Reason for coverage: Physician retiring
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotating schedule - Monday 7a- Monday 7a
Shift: Monday - Sunday, 7a-7p + pager call 7p-7a
Call: weeknight 7p-7a pager call
Patient volume: Average 12 patients/day. 8 Scopes, 5 OP, 3 IP, 6 ERCP per week
Scope: GI Hospitalist – ERCP/EUS required
EMR: Clinic: Athena | Inpatient: Meditech
Hospital: Not-for-profit, 255 beds
Group/support: NP for inpatient
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified GI; VA license strongly preferred, but open to non-licensed candidates
Skills
