Bangor, Maine: A 400-bed regional tertiary care center seeks a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon to join a well-established, hospital-employed team in Maine’s third largest city. You will take over a 100% established elective practice performing at least 500 surgeries annually – with no ER/trauma call.

This physician-led, nonprofit medical center is part of Maine’s second-largest health system, serving more than 500,000 residents across northern and eastern Maine. The hospital is a Level II trauma center and home to an unopposed Family Medicine Residency, offering teaching opportunities for interested physicians.

Join a collegial group of five orthopedic surgeons with subspecialties in arthroplasty, foot & ankle, shoulder, and sports medicine, supported by five full-time PAs, surgical techs, hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and outstanding nursing staff. Additional support includes physical and occupational therapy, wound care, and athletic trainers. Dedicated OR block time is available in both the main and ambulatory ORs.

Position Highlights
•  Secure hospital employment with a leading regional medical center
•  100% established elective Foot & Ankle practice
•  Weekday schedule, mix of clinic and OR
•  1:4 call, PAs take first call – no ER trauma call
•  Modern facilities with robot-equipped operating rooms
•  On-site MRI, X-ray, and 3D imaging
•  Collaborative subspecialty support: oncology/MSK, sports, vascular, plastics, and pediatrics
•  Teaching opportunities available through the Family Medicine Residency

Compensation & Benefits
•  Salary up to $675K or more, plus productivity incentives
•  $25K sign-on bonus

•  Student loan repayment: $20,000 annually with no cap
•  328 hours of PTO annually (8 weeks)
