We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Mar 2, 2026. This full-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule with 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts, mostly day shifts with occasional night and weekend coverage, under a 4:1 supervision model.


Job Details

  • Location: Virginia
  • Start Date: Mar 2, 2026
  • LOA: 120 days
  • Provider Type Needed: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
  • Schedule: Full time, 40-60 hours per week; mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts; mostly days with occasional nights; one weekend per month as needed; call shift once every 8 weeks; Sunday through Saturday coverage


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care across a wide range of cases, including thoracic, obstetrics, healthy pediatric dental/ENT, orthopedics, GI, and ENT procedures
  • Manage all cases except transplants
  • Perform epidurals and spinal anesthetics independently
  • Participate in 4:1 supervision model in a multi-facility environment
  • Float between various practice settings as required
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable clinical protocols and standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Collaborate with supervising anesthesiologists and clinical teams


Additional Information

  • Minimum 2 years of anesthesia experience required
  • Active Virginia license required at time of submittal or in process
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and AHA certifications required
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology required
  • Pediatric experience preferred
