Details:
•  Location: Alaska – Kenai Peninsula
•  Duration: January-November 2026
•  Call shifts: 24 Hour call, 7am-7am (required full blocks below)
•  Scope: Bread and Butter General Surgery call coverage, Robotics and GI scopes strongly preferred but not required (GI at hospital does clinic only, however if General surgeon doesn’t do scopes, IM providers are capable)
•  Procedures: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, bowel surgery, biopsy, mastectomy, tumor removal, wound care, upper GI scopes, thyroid, parathyroid, Trauma stabilization (only ~2-3 a year)
•  Volume: varies, sometimes only 2 calls per week, some are 10 calls per day
•  EMR: EPIC (experience strongly preferred); DaVinci Robot
•  Hospital: Level IV Trauma, 63 beds, 3 GS in group
•  Credentialing: 60-90 days
•  Require: BC/BE GS, Active AK license preferred
