A facility in Texas is seeking OB Hospitalist/Laborist coverage.

Position Details
Schedule: 24-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
One day (24 hours) off between shifts is acceptable
Coverage Model:
In-house OB coverage
Second OB physician in the community available as backup for each shift
Setting: Inpatient only
Clinical Volume
Average 1–3 deliveries per shift
Approximately 10 OB triage evaluations
1–2 ER or medicine unit consults
Annual delivery volume: ~2,100
Case Mix
Approximately 40% high-risk obstetrics presented to the Laborist service
Primary C-section rate: 12% for the service
Required Procedures
Cesarean sections
Operative vaginal deliveries
Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
Emergency gynecologic surgery, including:
Laparotomy
Laparoscopy
EMR
Meditech
