Description
A hospital in New York is seeking Board Certified Psychiatrists for full-time locum tenens coverage on its Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. Coverage is needed for two open positions, with an ASAP start once credentialed. This is a well-supported inpatient environment with strong safety measures in place.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call rotation: 1:4 Practice Environment
Adult inpatient unit consists of 30 beds split between two physicians (approximately 15 patients per provider per day).
Total behavioral health beds: 63
Inpatient staffing includes 3 full-time inpatient psychiatrists plus 2 locum openings.
Outpatient services (at full staffing) include 5 physicians and 1 APP.
The psychiatrist may only encounter pediatric patients when on weekend call in the crisis unit; these patients are evaluated and transferred to an adolescent facility if admitted. Documentation and Support

Credentialing
Credentialing timeline: ASAP Requirements
Board Certified in Psychiatry – required
Active New York medical license at time of submission – required
ACLS certification – required
Full-time availability is strongly preferred
