Medix is partnering with a client facility in Lakeview, Oregon, to find an experienced Social Worker (Qualified Mental Health Professional) for a travel assignment. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential behavioral health services in a close-knit, rural community setting. We are seeking a clinician who is prepared to commit to the duration of the assignment and become an integral part of the local mental health support system. Location: Lakeview, OR Facility Type: Outpatient Behavioral Health Start Date: ASAP Length of Assignment: Approximately 6 Months (1040 Hours) State License Needed: Oregon (OR) QMHP or higher Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus participation in the Crisis On-Call Rotation. Overview of ResponsibilitiesThe clinician will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health support and therapy services to clients in an outpatient setting. Key duties include: - Providing direct mental health support via therapy to clients in Lakeview County.
- Serving a diverse client population, ranging from adolescents through the geriatric age group.
- Primarily focusing on mental health support, with the potential for addressing substance abuse issues.
- Participating in a crisis on-call rotation as part of the facility's team coverage.
- Managing a consistent caseload, with typical caseloads potentially ranging from 48-60 clients (caseload confirmed upon facility onboarding).
Skills
- Current, active licensure in Oregon (OR) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or higher.
- Experience providing mental health therapy and support across a varied age range (adolescents to geriatric).
- Ability and willingness to work in a very rural location (closest large city is approximately 90 miles away).
