Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Neurology locums coverageThe facility in Altoona, PA is seeking a Board Certified Neurologist for full-time locum tenens coverage in an outpatient-only clinic setting while a provider is on leave. This role offers a predictable weekday schedule with no hospital work and no call responsibilities. Compensation: Orientation rate: $300/hour Malpractice insurance and tail are covered Holiday rate multiplier: 1.5x Position Details Specialty: Neurology Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic (office-based only) Location: Altoona, PA Start Date: February 2, 2026 Coverage Duration: Approximately 3 months Schedule and Coverage Full-time coverage is required for a minimum of 2 weeks per month Schedule options include: 4 × 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday): 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM 5 × 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday): 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM No call requirements. No inpatient or hospital responsibilities. Patient Volume and Case Mix Average clinic volume: 15–20 patients per 8-hour clinic day 19–24 patients per 10-hour clinic day Patient population is 100% adult. Typical conditions include general neurology, multiple sclerosis, migraine, and seizure disorders. Practice Environment Office-based neurology clinic only (not located in the hospital) Other neurologists and APP support available EMR system: Epic Credentialing Privileges available: Full privileges Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days Travel and Lodging Travel reimbursement includes airfare, lodging, rental car, mileage, parking, and ground transportation.
