I’m assisting a client in Southwest Oklahoma with a new Hospitalist locums need and wanted to see if you might be interested. Opportunity Overview: Hospitalist Locums Coverage Location: Lawton, OK Start Date: February 2026 – ongoing (6–12 months with option to extend) Schedule: • Full-time preferred • Rotating 7 on / 7 off for both day and night shifts • May consider splitting schedule with multiple providers (minimum 1 week per month preferred) Shifts: • Day: 7:00a–7:00p • Night: 7:00p–7:00a or 5:00p–5:00a • Nocturnists may take call as well Call: negotiable Patient Volume: • Average 15–17 patients per day • 2–4 admissions per provider Scope of Practice: • Hospitalist coverage including inpatient rounding, consults, admissions to ICU, and ventilator management Procedures: • Days/Nights: ICU admissions, vent management • Nights: Chest tubes, code response, central and arterial lines EMR: Allscripts Hospital Details: • Level III Trauma Center • 283-bed hospital • Open ICU Group / Support: • 2 CCM physicians on day shifts for most critical patients • Hospitalist manages remaining ICU patients • 1 NP assists with admissions occasionally (not guaranteed) • Nights are solo coverage in open ICU Requirements: • BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine • Oklahoma license preferred; active IMLC Compact license accepted • Active DEA Benefits: • 1099 contract • Competitive rates, negotiated on your behalf • A+ malpractice coverage • Full travel and housing provided • Assistance with credentialing included If you’re interested—or know someone who may be a good fit—please feel free to share your availability and a current CV.
