OVERVIEW Growing, financially solid medical center with 30 specialties & state of the art technology/equipment has received approval for plans to create additional capacity/beds due to increased volume. High ratings, with nearly zero physician attrition due to strong culture Lead in the realm of continuity patient care in hospital’s outpatient clinic Candidate must enthusiastically participate in the education of residents through precepting, didactic lectures & collaboration with core faculty on program projects, supporting program development and innovation & creating & delivering curriculum. Faculty position offers great preparation for candidates whose professional goals include teaching family medicine or gaining valuable GME experience needed to pursue a leadership role in a primary care organization ROLE Schedule-Mon-Fri; 8a – 5p; on average 2 clinic days, 1 precepting day & dedicated administration time for GME education per week NO overnight call required unless desire to participate in optional OB or inpatient adult medicine coverage Patient Volume- an average of 10-12 patients per half day in clinic Procedures- LARC insertion and removal, Pap smears, Joint injections (with and without ultrasound), Skin procedures, Incision & drainage (I&D), Toenail removals & Sterile vaginal exam/cervical checks Position requires teaching & supervising residents providing low risk prenatal care and post-partum care. Position offers opportunity for teaching & supervision of residents in the delivery of in-patient care & low risk obstetrics Educational Department located on the hospital’s state-of-the-art, 40,000 sq. ft. Medical Education Center. Completion of Medical School & Family Medicine residency (by start) Faculty experience preferred, but not required Ability to obtain/maintain medical license in state of Georgia 1+ years experience preferred BC/BE ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFM) Position requires teaching and supervising residents providing full spectrum Family Medicine in an outpatient setting Ideal candidate for the Core faculty position will have GME experience working in a supervisory capacity with residents of an ACGME accredited FM residency Will consider recent graduate strongly seeking career in medical education or academic leadership plus interest in learning foundational principles of graduate medical education with the goal of becoming an effective & efficient faculty member Bilingual in Spanish/English Preferred 2026 Residents/Fellows welcome Not an underserved area
