The Inpatient Cardiology Locum opportunity in Orange County, CA Details.. Location: Orange County California Duration: March – August (with potential to extend) Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM, Pager coverage from Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM Call: Flexible Call coverage every 2–3 weekends Scope of Practice (Inpatient Cardiology): ~3 new consults per day / ~5 follow-ups per day, Duties: Routine consults seen within 24 hours, Reporting urgent echocardiograms performed over the weekend, Coordinate transfers for patients needing cath lab or EP lab intervention, Perform emergent pericardiocentesis for unstable tamponade patients unable to transfer. EMR: EPIC Group/support: ICU team, hospitalists, and surgeons Requirements: Board Certified in Cardiology, Active California license, DEA, Clean NPDB
