Are you a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse looking to elevate your career in a dynamic hospital setting? We are seeking motivated professionals to fill our PCU (Progressive Care Unit) openings. This is a prime opportunity to rotate through diverse patient cases, develop your skills, and be part of a supportive team committed to excellence.


In this vital role, you will provide high-quality nursing care for patients with complex health needs, including cardiac, neurological, and surgical conditions. Your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and satisfaction.


Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25


What You Bring to the Role:


  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications

  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam

  • Proficiency in managing titratable IV medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval required for certain skills)

  • Experience with chest tube management, tracheostomies, Peritoneal Dialysis, lumbar CSF drains (preferred)

  • Comfortable working with EMR systems, specifically Meditech Expanse, and operating IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment



Nice to Have Skills:


  • Experience with stroke patient management, CVA/TIA, TPA administration

  • Support skills including phlebotomy, ventilator management, and resource nursing experience

  • Comfort with multiple patient types, including post-surgical and medical conditions such as AFIB, DKA, COPD, ARF, and more



Preferred Education and Experience:


  • RN license in good standing with at least 2 years of relevant acute care experience

  • Previous hospital or specialized unit experience, especially in stroke or surgical units



Other Requirements:


  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend, night shifts, and a structured 5/2 schedule with 4 or 3-day workweeks

  • Participation in a 5/2 rotation working every Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday

  • Willingness to work holidays and up to 7 days of requested time off (with some restrictions)

  • Scrub color: Pewter; white, black, or gray T-shirts with WK monogram, and gray or black jackets; badges worn above the waist and clearly visible

  • Free parking in designated areas
