We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for locum tenens coverage in Illinois. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call and no weekends or holidays, providing a great work-life balance in a well-supported outpatient clinic setting.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM


• Patient Volume: 25-30 patients under treatment daily


• Demographic: Adult-only cases


• Typical Cases: External beam treatments, OTVs, follow-ups


• EMR: EPIC


• Privileges Available: Full Privileges

Responsibilities:

• Patient evaluation, simulation, and dosimetry treatment planning


• Radiation therapy prescriptions


• Weekly assessments of patients under treatment


• Post-treatment follow-ups


• Daily image checks for verification of alignment and accuracy


• On-site supervision for compliance


• Occasional SRS checks, on-treatment visits, and consultations

Requirements:

• Board Status: Board Certified/Board Eligible


• Licensure: Active Illinois medical license required


• Certifications: BLS, DEA, and CSR licenses required


• Experience: Minimum of 1 year
