Description

Medix is seeking a highly specialized Diagnostic Radiologist to serve our nation’s Veterans in Decatur, GA. This pivotal role is split between direct clinical care (80%) and administrative oversight (20%) of the Mammography program. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, and primary care doctors to provide early detection and comprehensive management of breast cancer.

You will work in a state-of-the-art environment utilizing 3D Tomosynthesis, Breast MRI, and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures. Beyond imaging interpretation, you will act as the "Lead Interpreting Physician," ensuring the program meets and exceeds all national quality standards set by the ACR, FDA, and MQSA. Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
State License Needed: Any Active State License (VA requirement)

Skills

To ensure clinical excellence for our Veteran population, the following qualifications are required:
» Advanced proficiency in interpreting screening/diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
» Documented technical skill in performing image-guided biopsies (ultrasound, stereotactic, and MRI-guided).
» Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
» Must meet MQSA initial and continuing training requirements for mammography interpretation.
» Technical proficiency with PACS and Electronic Health Records (VISTA/CPRS experience preferred).
» Strong communication skills for discussing sensitive diagnostic findings with patients and providing consultation to referring physicians.
» Fellowship training in Breast Imaging or a related sub specialty is highly preferred.
