Therapist / Physical Therapist / Wisconsin / Physical Therapist - Wisconsin Job

APPLY NOW

Description

Medix is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist for a travel assignment with one of our valued clinical partners. In this role, you will work as a key clinician within a modern outpatient setting, focusing on high-quality, one-on-one patient care.

This is a unique opportunity to escape the "high-volume" grind. With 75-minute initial evaluations and 45-minute follow-up sessions, you will have the time necessary to truly focus on patient outcomes and functional goals. You will primarily serve an adult population (18+) with a focus on occupational health, work-related injuries, and return-to-work programs. As this is a 1:1 care environment with no PTAs to oversee, you will have full autonomy over your treatment plans while having the support of a lead clinician at a neighboring facility.

Responsibilities
--> Patient Care: Evaluate and treat patients by establishing individualized plans of care based on evaluation results and functional goals.
--> Occupational Health: Perform occupational-focused therapy, including injury recovery, return-to-work protocols, and lift tests (approximately 15 minutes each).
--> Documentation: Complete accurate and timely billing and clinical documentation using EPIC EMR, ensuring compliance with CPT codes and facility standards.
--> Education: Counsel and educate patients regarding injuries, wellness, home exercise programs, and discharge planning.
--> Collaboration: Interface with referring MDs regarding patient progress and participate in the training or supervision of students/interns as needed.
--> Environment: Maintain a clean, orderly workspace in a newly built-out PT suite equipped with standard rehabilitation tools.

Skills

Requirements:
--> Education: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
--> Licensure: Valid state licensure in the state of practice.
--> Certifications: Current CPR and AED certifications.
--> Skills: Strong clinical reasoning; experience in Occupational Health or Workers' Comp settings is highly beneficial.
--> Preference: Previous travel experience is a plus, but not required.

Notes

As a Medix clinician, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you throughout your assignment:
--> Paid Sick Leave: Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances.
--> Health / Dental / Vision: Choice of 6 different plans, including 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans, and 1 Minimum
--> Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. (Eligibility based on 30+ hours/week average during the first 4 weeks).
--> 401k: Eligible on the first open enrollment date (1/1, 4/1, 7/1, or 10/1) following 6 consecutive months on assignment.
--> Short Term Disability Insurance.
--> Term Life Insurance Plan.
