Opportunity Highlights
Coverage Period: 3 to 6 months (Ongoing need due to shortage).
Schedule: Full-time, hospital-based hours. No call schedule required.
Lab Environment: CLIA and NYS certified.
Team Dynamics: Collaborative group including 4 Physicians, 5 Histotechnologists, 1 Pathology Assistant, and 2 Cytotechnologists.
EMR/LTS: EPIC / Beaker.
Credentialing: Prompt 40- to 45-day timeframe.

Clinical Responsibilities
As a key member of the pathology team, you will handle a diverse case load with modern diagnostic equipment, including the ThinPrep integrated imager (Hologic) and Avantik QS cryostats.
Required Anatomic Pathology Procedures:
Surgical Pathology
Cytology (ThinPrep method)
Frozen Section Analysis (Cryostat cutting required)
Grossing of specimens
Volume Snapshot:
Surgical Specimens: ~13,000 per year
Cytology Specimens: ~3,000 per year

Provider Requirements
Board Status: AP Board Certified (Required).
Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) license (Required).
Certifications: Cytology Proficiency Exam required for GYN Cytology.
Documentation: A Self-Query NPDB report must be pulled within the same month as the submission (Required).
