Description
This Orthopedic Surgery Locum Tenens position is located in Southwest Louisiana Location: Southwest Louisiana (Inquire for specific location)
Duration: 4/6 – 13(7A) and ongoing 5-6 shifts per month
Reason for coverage: Gaps in call coverage from the employed Ortho Group.
Schedule: TBD – client can be flexible on exact dates – preference is to have the weekend covered: (i.e. Wed 7a – Mon 7a / Fri 7a – Mon 7a / Mon 7a – Mon 7a etc)
Shift: 7A-7A
Call: 24-hour ED call coverage + seeing post op patients in the clinic M-F if on call
Patient volume: Low call back to hospital, mainly phone consults from the ED
Scope: full-service Ortho Call (Hospitalists do admissions)
EMR: EPIC
Hospital: Level 3 trauma center
Group/support: 3 employed physicians + APPs
Requirements (boards, license): LA license preferred due to short timeline, IMLC open for future dates - Board Certified
