A free-standing cancer center is seeking a physician specializing in medical oncology to provide locum tenens coverage across two locations. This opportunity includes outpatient and inpatient responsibilities with no call during the locum period.

• Patient Volume:
  • Outpatient: 25 patients per day
  • Inpatient (rounding): 20 patients per day
• Patient Mix: Adult and geriatric
• Setting: Free-standing cancer center with outpatient and inpatient coverage
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Support Staff:
  • Seven physicians
  • Six advanced practice providers
  • Nurse oncologists for chemotherapy administration
• Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Participation on tumor board
  • Management of bone marrow transplants
  • Blood bank coordination
  • Ordering tests and imaging
  • Prescribing medications
• EMR: EPIC
• Dates: 4 week availability each month, with 4 days of availability each week- must be able to work for at least 6 month initial contract
• Call: No call during locum period
