Medix is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week travel assignment in Colorado. In this role, you will work within a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) environment, focusing on helping geriatric participants maintain their independence and quality of life. As a Medix clinician, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to holistic, community-based care, with the added benefit of a consistent weekday schedule and no holiday or weekend requirements.? Location: Colorado ? Facility Type: PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) ? Start Date: 05/16/2026 ? Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks (Potential for extension or permanent conversion) ? Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends, no on-call, closed on holidays) ? State License Needed: Colorado PTA License Responsibilities ? Clinical Care: Execute physical therapy treatments as delegated by the Registered Physical Therapist (RPT), including restorative and maintenance program instruction for participants, families, and staff. ? Data & Observation: Monitor and record non-evaluative data, such as vitals, ROM, strength, and mobility progress, to track the efficacy of treatment plans. ? Documentation: Maintain precise, timely records in full compliance with PACE, state, and federal regulations. ? Communication: Provide regular progress updates to the RPT and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), participating in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. ? Support & Training: Address the psychosocial needs of participants and families while attending required in-services and professional development modules. ? Compliance: Adhere strictly to all facility and PACE-specific policies and procedures.
Skills
Required Qualifications ? Education: Graduate of a PTA curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). ? Licensure: Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Colorado. ? Experience: Previous experience working with a geriatric patient population in some capacity. ? Logistics: Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable means of transportation.Preferred Skills ? Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is highly valued.
