Medix is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic rehabilitation team for a travel assignment in California. In this role, you will work as a key clinician alongside PT, OT, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care for an adult patient population. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about evidence-based therapy and patient education within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.--> Location: California --> Facility Type: Rehabilitation / Skilled Nursing Facility --> Start Date: 03/30/2026 --> Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks (Longer duration preferred) --> Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 Hours/Week (Flexible 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) --> State License Needed: California SLP License Responsibilities --> Complete comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. --> Provide evidence-based therapy interventions aligned with resident goals and specific care needs. --> Conduct bedside swallow assessments and develop effective dysphagia management plans. --> Document all services accurately and timely, ensuring full compliance with facility and regulatory guidelines. --> Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, safety techniques, and specialized therapy programs. --> Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including PT, OT, nursing, and medical staff, to ensure coordinated care.
Skills
Required Qualifications --> Licensure: Current, valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of California. --> Clinical Focus: Experience or comfort working exclusively with adult populations.Preferred Skills --> Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is preferred but not required. --> Bilingual skills in Spanish are a significant plus.
