Description
-Specialty: PICU AP/PA
-Coverage Dates Needed: August/September 2024 - 13 weeks with option to extend
-Schedule: 24hr shift coverage 7a-7a; 6.6 shifts/month
-Call: none
-Types of patients: Asthmatics, DKA, Ingestions, and chronic ventilations
-Certification Requirements: Acute Care Certification required OR Graduate of a Master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
-One year of pediatric experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in PICU, ICU, or ER preferred.
-Credentialing Timeframe: emergency temps given
-Clean Background
-Active TX License
Miscellaneous Information: The unit consists of 6-8 beds. Candidates need to be comfortable with working autonomously. The unit will consist of 1 APP and 1 physician. Interested candidates will need a minimum of 1 year relative PICU experience.
Skills

Requirements: Board Certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
