Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for their General Surgery position with no Operating Room duties. Working alongside one Physician only. This position is located in Coastal Northern Maine. The ideal candidate is board certified with a minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a surgery department, and be comfortable working in a busy clinic and hospital.  

Responsibilities of the General Surgery PA/NP:  

• Pre-op and Post-Op only


• No First Assist


• Hospital rounds by Doctor


• On-call coverage


• Seeing 20 patients a day in a clinic setting

Requirements of the General Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner:

• Certified PA or NP


• Current or willing to obtain Maine (ME) PA/NP license


• 1 year of clinical experience (preferred)
