Join Our Team as a MICU Registered Nurse and Make a Difference in Critical Care!
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our Medical Intensive Care Unit. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment while advancing your critical care expertise. With a focus on teamwork and excellence, you'll be an essential part of delivering life-saving care to the most vulnerable patients.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU during night shifts (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00 – 07:30) on an every-other-weekend schedule.
- Manage complex cases, including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID-19, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as GE monitors, ventilators, NxStage CRRT, and Alaris IV pumps.
- Perform specialized procedures like continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pump management for COVID+ patients.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical ICU experience.
- Proficient in EPIC documentation system.
- Skilled in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management.
- Strong understanding of critical care procedures and patient assessments.
- Valid AHA certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Additional proficiency with EPIC.
- Knowledge of specialized equipment like NxStage CRRT and boom lifts in patient rooms.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with active licensure.
- Experience in managing multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, and infectious cases such as COVID-19.
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and compliance with hospital parking options, including guaranteed or shuttle-access permits.
- Ability to work night shifts consistently.
