Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid RN license and BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, specifically at the PCU level
- Proficiency in managing CVL placement, Foley catheters, NGT/PEG tube feedings, arterial lines, and diabetes management
- Experience with drip titration such as Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start date
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with NIHSS assessments
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Previous telephonic or float experience across units such as Stepdown or Med/Surg
- Additional certifications related to critical care or specialized procedures
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Registered Nurse with valid licensure and relevant experience
- At least 2 years in an acute care setting, preferably in a PCU or similar environment
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work 4-day and 3-day shifts on a rotation schedule, including every other weekend, and work during major holidays
- Must wear designated scrubs (Pewter color) and adhere to uniform policies
- No cell phone use in patient care areas; maintain professionalism at all times
- Parking available in designated areas; on-call is not required
