• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate
• Case Mix: General Pediatric Inpatient Care

• Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped inpatient pediatric unit
• Specialty Backup Available: Hospital-based specialty services
• Support Staff Available: Nursing and hospital support staff
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Management of general pediatric inpatient cases
• Neonatal stabilization and management
• Standard hospital-based pediatric procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Mississippi Medical License
• Board: Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics or American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics (within five years of post-graduate training)
• DEA: Active Mississippi DEA Required
• Certifications: Current PALS and NRP Certifications
• Experience: Inpatient management of at least 24 patients within the past 24 months
• Other Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited Pediatric residency program

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric hospitalist services
• Perform daily patient rounds and admissions as assigned
• Manage acute pediatric and neonatal cases
• Provide night call coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care
