Exciting Opportunity for a PCU Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and pediatric patients, including those with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic cancers
- Monitor patient vitals and interpret complex dysrhythmias
- Manage and operate various advanced medical equipment such as telemetry systems, infusion pumps, and ventilators
- Administer blood products, chemotherapy, and manage central and peripheral lines
- Respond to rapid response calls and participate in critical patient interventions
- Follow strict infection control and patient safety protocols to minimize risks and enhance recovery
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of high acuity PCU or telemetry experience, preferably in oncology settings
- Proficiency in interpreting arrhythmias and management of cardiac and infusion drips
- Skilled in IV insertion, port access, and blood product administration
- Experience with critical respiratory management including CPAP, BIPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
- Certification in BCLS, ACLS, and NIH required
Nice to Have Skills:
- Management of dysrhythmias and insulin protocols
- Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
- Wound care, arterial line management, and surgical drain management
- Ability to manage complex airway devices and non-invasive ventilatory support
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Nursing degree from an accredited program with active licensure
- Two or more years of oncology or high acuity nursing experience, including travel assignments preferred
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work Night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) with flexible scheduling options
- Willingness to float within units of similar or lower acuity as needed
- Certification and experience with specialized oncology procedures are advantageous but not mandatory
- Must hold current licensure and certifications (BCLS, ACLS, NIH)
