In this role, you will be responsible for delivering specialized care to patients with complex medical needs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, utilizing your critical thinking skills and clinical proficiency. This position offers a chance to gain valuable experience in oncology and specialized procedures within a comprehensive cancer treatment center.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2+ years of high-acuity PCU level or higher experience.
- Valid RN license.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Strong clinical skills in acute care settings.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and variable scheduling.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Oncology experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with special procedures such as BMT, Hematology, or Surgical Oncology.
- Certification in chemotherapy administration or related specialties.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience with complex cancer patient populations and specialized procedures.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to float to MedSurg and other oncology units such as Gynecological Oncology, Urology, and Colorectal.
- Understanding of staffing ratios (1:3, up to 1:5 with mixed acuity).
- Willingness to engage in self-scheduling and accommodate variable weekend shifts.
- Valid licensure, necessary certifications, and willingness to travel, if applicable.
- Successful completion of orientation and bedside training.
This position offers competitive pay at $59.18 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, referral bonuses, paid sick leave, and reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other eligible expenses.
