Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - Anesthesiology for a 269-day assignment starting Apr 20, 2026, in Pennsylvania. Our client is a trauma facility looking for a professional to provide comprehensive anesthesia care across a diverse range of surgical specialties, including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics, and more. This role involves assessing and managing patients through the perioperative period, developing anesthetic plans, and performing various anesthesia techniques, excluding cardiac, obstetrics, or block cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative/procedural period.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive anesthetic plans.
  • Perform history and physical examinations, and obtain informed consent from patients.
  • Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, and IV regional blocks.
  • Perform monitored anesthesia care (MAC) and manage invasive monitoring placement.
  • Execute advanced airway management techniques.
  • Provide anesthesia for cases including general surgery, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics, endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT.
  • This assignment does not include hearts, OB, or blocks.

  • Required Board Certification: National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
