Seeking a highly skilled and experience Nurse Practitioner to assume the role of Cardiac Surgery First Assist. The service line is completely supported by physician assistants and nurse practitioners since there is no formal CT surgery residency program. Successful candidates must be proficient in all aspects of first assisting for major cardiac surgical procedures, endoscopic and open vein harvesting, radial artery harvesting, and have experience with a high volume CT surgery program. Opportunity also exists for training and first assist for pediatric cardiac surgical procedures.

This is one of North Carolina's preferred facilities for cardiovascular services. The building has clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid OR. It has over 100 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery.
