Qualifications:• Must be able to provide verification of credentials and proof of malpractice insurance.
• Experience practicing General Medicine.
• Ability to begin work as soon as possible.
• Experience working with inmate populations or in inmate facilities, preferred.
Physician must possesses a current and valid medical license to practice medicine in any state. The Physicians don’t need to be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
the provider must have graduated from an American Medical Association approved school of medicine with a doctor’s degree in medicine. Must be CPR certified. The con- tractors must have at least one year of work experience related to the duties of a Physicians. The contractor must provide proof that their candidate meets all qualifications. The Provider must submit a resume, photocopies of documents evidencing education, license, certifications and training. Failure to submit evidentiary documenta- tion of education, qualifications, and certifications, or the name of a qualified candidate who will perform these services may result in elimination from consideration Each individual performing these services must be able to pass a drug screening and law enforcement agency background check.
This position is a 1099 Contractor position.the schedule will be Monday-Friday (7:30 – 4:00). Physi- cians will be providing 40 sessions per week. Session are defined as 1 hour. Scheduling of inmates for on-site clinics shall be performed by the individual BOP facility. Frequency of services shall be rendered as patient needs dictate. The 15 facilities are locations the Physician will provide services by Tele-medicine. Depending where the Physicians are located, they will report to the nearest facility to provide services. For instance, if a Physician is located in Austin, Texas, then he or she will report to FCI Bastrop to render services, see inmates and then do tele-medicine to the others institutions located in the SCR.
