Required Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or relevant state.
- EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills, including telemetry, IV therapy, and medication administration.
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, manage respiratory support devices, and handle emergency situations effectively.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to float between Oncology Medical-Surgical and PCU units.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Oncology nursing experience or relevant background.
- Experience with Pyxis medication systems and other electronic health records.
- Knowledge of correctional healthcare protocols and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in complex IV protocols, blood product management, and hemodialysis support.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience.
- Previous experience in oncology or correctional healthcare settings is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work night shifts, primarily 12-hour, 19:00 - 07:30.
- Willingness to float across units as needed.
- Certification in CPR/BLS at minimum.
- Be able to operate medication systems, including Pyxis, and documentation tools like EPIC.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards within a correctional environment with controlled access and inmate interaction.
