Join Our Team as a PCU Registered Nurse – Make a Difference in Hematology and Oncology Care!
Are you a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are currently looking for a highly skilled PCU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a busy hematology and oncology unit. This role offers the chance to work with adult and geriatric patients, including those newly diagnosed with acute leukemia, in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current state licensure
- Minimum of two years of overall nursing experience, including at least one year in inpatient hematology/oncology
- Chemo certification (ONS Chemo Cert) is mandatory
- Proficiency with MS/Tele and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform blood product administration
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, and chemotherapy administration
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and patient falls prevention protocols
- Competence in computerized charting (EPIC experience required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Additional Skills:
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with feeding tube care and management
- Use of Rapid Response Teams
- Peripheral line placement and management
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- An RN license in good standing
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in inpatient hematology/oncology
- Relevant certifications, including chemo administration and advanced cardiovascular life support
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) on a rotating schedule
- Flexibility for variable weekend shifts based on unit needs
- Commitment to adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
- Willingness to self-schedule preferred shifts within staffing requirements
