A health system is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician for locum tenens coverage to support during a recruitment period.$400/hr Position Details Specialty: Maternal Fetal Medicine Practice Setting: Office and Inpatient Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Open Dates May 8 – May 15 May 16 – May 22 May 26 – May 31 Schedule Clinic and inpatient coverage Providers will rotate between two clinic locations (approximately 30 minutes apart) Patient Volume Average 27 scheduled patients per day Patient Population 5% low-risk pregnancy 95% high-risk pregnancy Clinical Responsibilities Provide care for high-risk obstetric patients Manage complex maternal and fetal conditions Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures Provide consultations (including occasional phone consults) Required Procedures / Skills Amniocentesis Chorionic Villus Sampling Cerclage (preferred) Management of: Pre-eclampsia Multiple gestation Growth restriction Chromosomal abnormalities Congenital abnormalities Pre-term labor Hypertension Thrombophilia Genetic disorders Birth defects Vaginal and cesarean delivery Management of maternal/fetal co-morbidities Practice Environment 2-provider service (one per site) 1 APP (rotating between sites) Support staff includes: RN clinic educator Sonographer Genetic counselor Front office team 3 exam rooms Onsite ultrasound available EMR: Epic, Viewpoint Credentialing Estimated timeframe: ~90 days Travel Flight Hotel Rental car Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine – required Fellowship trained – required Virginia license – required BLS – required AIUM certification – preferred Must submit to all associated job postings – required Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days) – required at presentation About WhiteCoat Locums: - Physician owned and led agency - Highest-Pay rates on the market - $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail - 100% transparency
