You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Manager of Critical Care, CVRU like you to be a part of our team.
The Critical Care Manager will maintain 24-hour accountability for the supervision, coordination, evaluation of activities of the staff, and staffing of the Critical Care Unit. You will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physicians and the Hospital policy and procedures. You will coordinate the organizational improvement activities of the nursing unit. You will oversee the development, review and revision and communication of policies, procedures and practices guidelines pertinent to the unit. You will assist the Director in overseeing the financial operation of the department. You will maintain knowledge of current practice standards with regards to care of the critically ill patient.

will integrate department services with the hospital’s primary functions. - You
will develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. - You
will determine the qualifications and competence of department personnel who provide patient care services and who are not licensed independent practitioners. - You
will coordinate and integrate services within the department and with other departments. - You
will recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care. - You
will continuously assess and improve department’s and the organization’s performance and facilitate involvement of staff in Performance Improvement activities. - You
will provide for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in the department as well as maintains personnel records. - You
will participate in selecting outside sources for needed services. - You
will assist the Director in development of the departmental budget and assures fiscal responsibility in the financial operations of the unit. - You
will oversees and reviews the development of monthly schedules. - You
will collaborate with the Department Director, House Supervisor, and the Chief Nursing Officer or their designee regarding staffing issues. - You
will review, approve, and complete employee timesheets in Kronos system. You will assure that new employees receive department-specific orientation. - You
will assure that education and training of department is ongoing and based on identified learning needs of the staff and age of patients served. - You
will assist Director in interviewing and hires qualified staff members whose skills and knowledge match the patient care needs. - You
will assure and/or participates in all employee evaluations. In conjunction with the House Supervisor, Department Director or Charge Nurse, you will assure that patient care assignments are made according to the nurse’s skill, acuity and staffing availability and based on the State licensing law and Hospital policy. - You
will serve as a liaison between the medical staff and Nursing Department. - You
will assist Director in assuring that policies, procedures, and practice guidelines are written specific to departmental and Hospital requirements and based on accepted guidelines or standards.

Qualifications Experience
- Four
years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, of which must include charge nurse, supervisory, and/or management experience: Required - At
least 2 years IMC experience: Preferred
