You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Cardio Prep and Recovery Registered Nurse like you to be a part of our team.


The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to direct and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a safe and proficient manner, in accordance with individual patient needs. Provides direct patient care based upon South Austin Medical Center Hospital Standards of Care and Standards of Practice, Policies, Procedures and Practice Guidelines. Provides guidance and supervision to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Nursing Technicians, Nursing Assistants and Unit Secretaries. He/She acts as patient advocate within the hospital environment.  Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities and accepts assignments on other units when necessary.

Qualifications

Education


Required: Graduation from an NLN school of professional nursing
Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree

Experience


Required: A minimum of 2 years experience as a staff nurse in an acute care setting


 


License & Certifications


Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
