the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner like you to be
a part of our team.




The Nurse Practitioner will perform an advanced practice role in
the delivery of high value nursing care to meet the needs of patients to
maintain health and recover from illness. 
The Nurse Practitioner will function autonomously and in collaboration with
the healthcare care team in advanced clinical practice, education,
consultation, research and leadership roles.
 


  • You will demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in the care of patients.
  • You will demonstrate advanced education/teaching skills in the use of the teaching/learning process.
  • You will use advanced skills of consultation and change theory
    to facilitate process.

  • You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the research process
    and its implications for nursing practice.
  • You will provide organizational and community leadership to
    facilitate health care to meet the needs of patients, families, and
    staff.


St. David’s
Medical Center is a full-service medical center offering comprehensive medical
care at three locations—St. David’s Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin
and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital.

Central Austin, St. David’s Medical Center includes a 426-bed acute care
hospital and a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital providing comprehensive inpatient

Qualifications

Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct patient care in the area of specialization:  Preferred
Education:
  • Master's Degree in appropriate clinical nursing specialty:  Preferred
Licensure / Certifications:
  • Licensed
    to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist in the State
    of Texas; 
    Approval from Texas Board of
    Nursing to practice as a Nurse Practitioner:  Required

  • BLS and ACLS as per St. David’s
    HealthCare Policy:  Required
