In order to treat the most critical patients in the most thorough manner, ER nurses use their specialized skills and extensive knowledge of disease pathology to provide interventions that sustain life. About this unit: 18 Bed ER Care for patients of any age, Senior Friendly ER, 20% of visits are pediatrics Amazing teamwork throughout all levels – Physicians, Leadership, RNs, PCTs. Patient safety and satisfaction are our number one priority Responsibilities: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides patient care through utilization of the nursing process. The nursing process is demonstrated by the staff registered nurse’s ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health care team in planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating patient care. May supervise RN's, LPN's, technicians, unit secretaries, nursing students, and nursing assistants.
Qualifications What Qualifications You Will Need - Current RN License or compact license in the State of Louisiana; Bachelor's Degree or Nurse Diploma
- ER experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support
- Current ACLS
- Current PALS or ENPC
Current NCI Current TNCC
