Position Summary: This charge nurse is effectively the manager of the department or hospital unit to which they are assigned. Common duties include overseeing operations, monitoring admissions and discharges, and directing and overseeing the activities of the nursing and support staff. Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the life cycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift.Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of recent Charge Nurse Cardiac-Tele RN experience in acute care hospital setting required
• 2+ years of acute care experience
• BLS/ACLS Certified
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of GA
• ASN Required, BSN strongly preferred
