A facility is seeking a Medical Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage in an outpatient chemotherapy and infusion center with hospital consult responsibilities.Orientation $275/hr

August 31 Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services
Diagnosis, staging, and treatment of hematology/oncology patients
Precision medicine and symptom management
Oversight of oncology/hematology clinic and infusion center
Hospital consults with call responsibilities
Coordinate with ER physicians and hospitalists for admissions
Infusion services include:
Chemotherapy
Immunotherapy
Blood and platelet transfusions
Hormone therapy
Antibiotic therapy
Rheumatoid arthritis injections
Therapeutic phlebotomy Patient Volume
15–20 patients per day Practice Environment Solo provider model with midlevel support
Support staff includes:
Clinic RN
2 MAs
2 front office staff
Quality analyst/billing
10 infusion RNs
EMR: iKnowmed (clinic), Cerner (infusion) Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 30–60 days Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology – required
California license – required
Fellowship trained – required
DEA – required
ACLS – required if requesting moderate sedation privileges
