Description
We are seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Neurology physician to become part of a multi-specialty group that includes Neuro-psychologists, Psychologist and an Ortho/Spine Surgeon. The practice is located in a Professional Office Building associated with an acute care Medical Center.Key Clinical Responsibilities Provide inpatient/outpatient consultations
60% outpatient, 40% inpatient
Respond to inpatient consultation requests within 24 hours
Call includes Stroke, ER, and USC Telestroke
Office hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am – 3pm
MRI, CT, lab and x-ray onsite
Imaging Center, 3 Tesla MRI in the same building
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Serve and work with a diverse group of colleagues and patients
Work with a collaborative, communicative group of physicians and midlevels
Robust referral sources
Hospital based SSEP opportunity for spine surgery
Opportunity to work in a teaching environment; Family Medicine Residency program and Physician Assistants at USC and Chapman University, and, 3rd and 4th year International medical students
Administrative Responsibilities Participate and coordinate appropriate patient care conferences and staff support services
Complete all documentation and charting on the same day or shift as the clinical service rendered
Bill for direct patient care activity and submit billing documentation on the same day or shift as the clinical service rendered
Fluency in Spanish desired
Qualifications Medical Degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Current California State Medical License to practice medicine without restriction
Current DEA certificate required
Hospital stroke coverage experience
Inpatient management skills and a proven track record providing exceptional patient care
