REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and foreign body removal
• Control of GI bleeding and variceal injections
• ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic – preferred)
• PEG placement
• Esophageal dilation and manometry
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• Liver biopsy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active TX license
• Board: Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Certifications: ACLS
• Other Qualifications: Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient gastroenterology call coverage
• Manage ED consults and patient transfers
• Perform advanced GI procedures including endoscopy and ERCP
• Handle admissions related to GI cases
• Respond within required call response time
