SMART Physician Recruiting is seeking Anesthesia Board-certified or Board-eligible Physicians for a new and ongoing locum tenens opportunity, just South of Chicago. This position is ideal for experienced general anesthetist doctors (BC or BE ABA/AOBA) that are comfortable with the listed case types. Projected start date of this assignment is January 2018, and it will be ongoing. Credentialing will be as efficient as possible in order to make this start date. Applicants with full-time and ongoing availability will be considered for this locum assignment.

• Locum Rate: $200/hr – guaranteed 40 hr week – plus travel and malpractice insurance with tail


• Overtime/Call Premium: $230/hr (OT paid after 40 worked hours) – in-house call rate to be discussed upon interview


• Medical Direction: 100% – 5 Physicians & 9 CRNAs


• Patient Volume: 7,000 annual cases, 1,000 of which are OB


• Case Types: Case mix includes general, B&B, ortho and OB. Can have mildly complicated OB cases. No cardiac, neuro, or trauma.


• Care Model: TBD


• ORs: 7 plus GI and OB


• Call Schedule: Physician call in-house, CRNA is beeper call


• Special Requirements/Further information: BC/BE in Anesthesia, IL license, BLS, ACLS, Case logs for past year


• License/Credentialing: In time for January 2018
