SMART Physician Recruiting is seeking Anesthesia Board-certified Physicians for a new locum tenens opportunity a little South of Saginaw Bay, Michigan. This position is ideal for experienced generalist anesthetist doctors that are very comfortable with a large amount of OB, looking for ongoing placement in a dynamic environment. Projected start date of this assignment is February, 2018. Must have strong OB skills, and be comfortable with healthy and sick peds. The assignment covers two facilities in close proximity to one another.

• Locums Rate: $200/hour – plus paid travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance with tail


• Call and Overtime: Rates will be discussed upon interview, but a premium is paid for every hour on call


• Case Types: Endo, General, OB (spinals & epidurals), Peds — Healthy & Sick (two Fellows take care of the sick peds), Plastics, Regional, Urology. Neonates are cared for by a Neonatologist. Cardiac, Neuro and Trauma are handled at a larger facility


• Coverage Model: 5 MDs – 100% supervision on all cases, as sites are involved with CRNA training programs


• Week Length: five days per week – full-time hours (40) – every fifth week is taken off, unpaid


• Call Schedule: 1:4 in-house call, with post-call day off


• Special Requirements: Guaranteed 40hr week, TB Test; 2 separate facilities; all locums required to complete documentation training (30 min)


• License/Credentialing: 90 days
