Join Our Team as a PCU Float Registered Nurse – Make a Meaningful Difference!
Are you an experienced RN ready to demonstrate your versatility and adaptability across multiple units? Our progressive healthcare facility seeks a dedicated PCU Float Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work across various units—including step-down and PCU areas—and potentially float between campuses, showcasing your clinical expertise and team versatility. This position offers the chance to grow your skills while making a tangible impact on patient lives.
Required Skills:
- Active RN license with unrestricted practice
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar settings
- Proficiency in IV start, telemetry monitoring, and Epic electronic health records
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and bedside manner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience floating to different units or campuses
- Additional certifications such as PALS or TNCC
- Bilingual abilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Prior experience working in a hospital setting within a PCU or step-down unit
- Familiarity with various electronic medical records systems
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work night shifts (19:00 – 07:30, 3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Comfort with floating to different units, including potentially to other facilities such as Ross Heart, Brain & Spine, and Dodd
- Must hold licenses and certifications in good standing; travel and other reimbursements applicable when necessary
- Parking options available with various permits through CampusParc
