Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Required Skills:
- Active NY State Nurse Practitioner license
- Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience, preferably with surgical or perioperative care
- Strong proficiency in surgical assisting techniques, including wound cauterization, vessel packing, suturing, and hemostasis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications from recognized authorities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with robotic surgery
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Experience in medical-surgical floor coverage and patient rounding
- Familiarity with operating room procedures and sterile techniques
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid Ny State Nurse Practitioner licensure
- At least 2 years of recent surgical or perioperative nursing experience
- Certification in surgical assisting or first assist preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of and adherence to hospital dress code and safety standards
- Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts starting June 9, 2026
- Willingness to participate in rotating weekend and weeknight call
- Maintain professional appearance and compliance with hospital policies
- Flexibility to support both surgical first assist duties and medical-surgical unit coverage as needed
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and teamwork
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $131.32 and benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure and certification reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
