SUMO Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cardio & Thoracic Surgery physician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in Boise, Idaho. This high?volume program offers dedicated cardiothoracic resources, EPIC EMR, and expedited credentialing with a July 2026 start.Position Details-
Start: Anticipated July 10, 2026
Schedule: 24?hour shifts (7:00a–7:00a)
Availability: Minimum 10 shifts per month, ongoing
Critical Coverage Dates (required):
July 10–20, 2026
August 1–10, 2026 Clinical Practice-
Patient Population: Adult / Geriatric
Annual Volume:
400+ cardiac surgeries
150+ thoracic surgeries (including robotic cases) Daily Volume:
~3 consults/day (TAVR & SAVR)
1–2 surgeries/day Facility & Support-
EMR: EPIC
Operating Rooms:
1 dedicated CT OR
CVOR with 3 dedicated rooms
CVICU: 16 beds (prep and recovery)
Support Team:
4 rotating OR PAs
7 APPs
4 perfusionists
3?surgeon practice Requirements-
Active, unrestricted Idaho medical license (in hand)
DEA
Board Certified in Cardio & Thoracic Surgery
ACLS
Minimum 3 years post?fellowship experience
Procedure list required
